Been busy lately, tinkering and studying stuff.
 
xslt - semi-required for work, so I read up on this and its pretty useful. Makes working with xml files easier.
C/C++ shared library usage - re-read about this and tested it out again. 
FreeBSD - just installed this on an old laptop here in the house, looks promising. Installed without any real problems. Only problem I ran into was that I booted off the livefs cd instead of the install dvd.
Globe Tattoo - Got this working in linux, should be pretty easy to use in the carpc
